Get Ready for Bruin Connect & Office 365 Updates

Bruin Connect will be receiving an upgrade as part of Microsoft’s global update of Multi-factor Authentication requirements. This upgrade will introduce two changes: one for the Bruin Connect login page, and one that may change the way you log in to Bruin Connect.

The first upgrade will take place on Monday, March 3, for the Bruin Connect login page. These changes will include:

• The "Security Image" associated with your Bruin Connect account, currently visible on the login page underneath the Bellevue University logo, will be REMOVED.
• The hidden links displayed under "Need help signing in?" will be auto-expanded, making them visible at all times.

The second upgrade will happen on Wednesday, March 5, as new Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) requirements will be implemented for Microsoft 365. After this upgrade, when signing in or accessing Microsoft 365 through Bruin Connect, whether on or off-campus, you may be prompted to complete a multifactor authentication (MFA) challenge after logging in through BRUIN Connect. These MFA prompts will occur at least once every 30 days.

Upgrade Schedule

Bruin Connect (login page): March 3, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST
Microsoft 365 Requirements (MFA): March 5, 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM CST

Bruin Connect will remain available during these times, but users may experience brief periods of intermittent connectivity!

Kivuto is an online store that offers discounted computer software and other products to current Bellevue University students. The university is able to provide this benefit through agreements with our software partners.

IMPORTANT!

The Office 365 Productivity Suite, formerly offered at no charge through Kivuto, is now available directly from the Office 365 Portal. For help downloading Office 365 free of charge (currently enrolled students only), please see Microsoft Office 365 for Bellevue University Students and Alumni.

Microsoft Imagine (formerly Dreamspark, formerly Microsoft Developer Network - Academic Alliance (MSDNAA)) is no longer hosted through Kivuto. This service, exclusive to Information Technology (STEM) faculty and students, is now offered through Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. Details Regarding Purchases
If a license code is required for your software, the code will not be emailed to you. Instead, the code can be found under the YOUR ACCOUNT/ORDERS section.

Kivuto Your Account/Orders Menu Selection
IMPORTANT!

For Microsoft applications, access to download the software and view the license key is available for only 30 days from the date of purchase. However, extended access to the download and license key is available for an additional fee. If you choose not to add this option, DO NOT DELETE YOUR DOWNLOADED INSTALL FILE OR LICENSE KEY FROM YOUR COMPUTER. You will not be able to recover it from the Kivuto store in the future. Therefore, be sure these files are backed up to a safe location. Using both an external location (another computer, physical storage media, or both) and a cloud storage service (e.g. OneDrive) is highly recommended.

Your software and its license key will be valid for ONE (1) YEAR. At the end of that year, you may renew the license for an additional year through your Kivuto account. However, once you graduate or are no longer a student, you will no longer be able to renew your licenses.
